TAG | Totally should have

I found this tag over on Marta’s blog (the book mermaid) and I thought it would be fun to do it so here we are.

1. Totally should have gotten a sequel

I actually prefer standalones over series so this is a hard one for me. I literally went through the entire list of books I’ve read and couldn’t find a book I wish it had a sequel. What can I say, I love standalones and series tend to drag for no reason.

2. Totally should have gotten a spin-off series

Harry Potter! But that’s too obvious so I’m going to pick something else. Grisha trilogy. Yes, I am aware that there already is a spin-off series Six of Crows but I want another one. Or two. Or ten. I just love that world so much and I want a whole bunch of series set in it.

3. An author that totally should write more books

Ransom Riggs. I would love to read something else by him aside from Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children and I hope he will come out with a new book soon.

4. A character that totally should have ended up with someone else

It’s been over three years since I’ve read this trilogy but I’m still not over it. Clara should have ended up with Christian!! In case you don’t know, I’m talking about the Unearthly trilogy and sorry if I just spoiled you, but this series is old enough so I feel free to talk about it. Yeah, Christian is my fave and I am not okay with how Boundless ended. So not okay.

6. Totally should’ve had a movie franchise

Do tv shows count? Because I think making books into movies should be banned. Seriously. They never do it right. But tv shows are something else. And I would love to see Black Dagger Brotherhood as a tv show. It would have a million seasons but it would be so epic if done right. It’ll probably never happen, though.

7. Totally should’ve had one point of view

I love multiple POV’s, you can’t ask me that! I don’t have an answer. Every book is better if it’s told from multiple perspectives.

8. Totally should’ve had a cover change

Black Dagger Brotherhood and Vampire Academy. Both of these series have terrible original covers that are very misleading and just ugly. However, I’m lucky enough to actually have both of these series in pretty covers (Croatian) that represent this series in much better light. So yeah, US covers should definitely change.

9. Totally should’ve kept the original cover

Across the Universe trilogy, without the doubt. Original covers on the first two books were amazing but no, they decided on the cover change and now they’re not as pretty and it really bothers me.

10. Totally should’ve stopped at book one

So many books! All those contemporaries that got the sequel because they were selling well. I can’t answer with one particular book because I never continue with the series if that happens and I don’t feel okay bashing on books I haven’t read. But I bet you know some examples of it.
